Privacy Policy for Applicants
Data processing during the application process
We process the personal data mentioned in the attachment to conduct the application process with you and to ensure optimal staffing across our entire organization (including specialized departments). We do this on the legal basis of our overriding legitimate interest in conducting an efficient application process (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) as well as on the basis of the necessity for the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We collect this data during the application process either when you provide it to us (for example, by sending your CV via email) or when we collect it ourselves (for example, by taking notes during the job interview). You are not obligated to provide us with your personal data. However, if you do not do so, we will not be able to carry out the application process with you.
Transfer of your personal data
We will not forward your data to any external parties during the application process.
Retention period
In principle, we retain your data for six months from the date an unsuccessful application process concludes. It is possible to retain the data for up to 18 months if you have consented to this longer retention period. If your application is successful, we will retain the data collected in connection with the application process for as long as statutory retention obligations exist or as long as any legal claims have not yet expired.
Your rights regarding personal data
Under applicable law, you have the right, among other things (subject to the requirements of applicable law), to: (i) verify whether and which personal data we have stored about you and receive copies of this data; (ii) request the correction, supplementation, or deletion of your personal data that is incorrect or processed in violation of the law; (iii) request that we restrict the processing of your personal data; (iv) object to the processing of your personal data under certain circumstances or withdraw consent previously given for processing, whereby such withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing prior to the withdrawal; (v) request data portability; (vi) know the identity of third parties to whom your personal data is transferred; and (vii) lodge a complaint with the data protection authority.
